Qigong pronounced "Chi kung", was developed in China 5000 years ago as a part of traditional Chinese medicine. It involves using exercises optimize energy within the body, mind, and spirit, with the gaol of improving and maintaining health and well-being.

QI MEANS: ENERGY, AIR, BREATH LIFE FORCE, VITAL ENERGY
GONG MEANS: RIGHT EFFORT, GOOD DEEDS, MERIT, EFFECT, ACHEIVEMENT
SO QIGONG MEANS THE RIGHT EFFORT TO PRODUCE ENERGY, ENERGY WORKS - THE CULTIVATION OF VITAL ENERGY/LIFE FORCE' SINCE THE WORD "CULTIVATION " HAS A "LONG TEAM' CONNOTATION AND SUGGESTS A CONTINUOUS EFFORT.

Qi gong is a series of exercises- some are consided "soft, "hard" and "static" that were put together by Taoist sages and healers of ancient times and also developed further by the Buddhist monks, nuns and the martial art masters of ancient China. Some of these hermits, sages and monks probably even had some divine intervention because they were so pure, living in such harmony with nature, other creations and with the energy of the universe.

These Qigong exercises involve some gentle ('soft") movements, stronger movements that require more muscular activity ("hard") preferred by martial artists, and the "static" meditative type of exercises, but all have in common, that is that they be done with emphasis on the breath and mind focus.
These exercises were "designed "to unblock and stimulate the acupuncture meridians or channels so that the Qi energy (and blood) can flow smoothly,
unobstructed in the channels to supply the whole body. (In traditional Chinese medicine, it is believed that the blocked stagnant energy can cause all sorts of diseases. This includes your mental and emotional energy). It also stimulates and restores your own body's self-regulating system.

Chinese medicine recognises stagnation cause by sedentary lifestyle, Enviromental factors, and supressed or exercise emotions as the primary sources of pathogenetic stress and illness. Medical Taoist Qigong provides a self-healing diagnostic tool to deal with the challenges.

The "soft" flexing exercise can be used by elderly, people in hospital, even in wheelchairs, "static "is for mediation, while the "hard "is used by exponents of martial arts such as kung fu.

Our system uses the Chinese medical theories of "Yin Yang" and the five elements together with the four principles of "Floating" (Fou), "Sinking" (Chum), "Swallowing" (Tun), and "Spitting" (To) to generate "GING".

Our style of "Hung Mo Bak Mei Pai" is rare and unique in that it has special "Nei Gong" as well as "Hei Gong" that cultivates Qi for health and internal force.

Our Red Dragon Breathing  Method or "Hung Lung Hei Gong", opens up the meridians and builds the lower "Dan tian". We also teach the "Eight Methods of Divine Force" or "Tian Gong Baat Faht". This is the Cotton Body and internal practice of our system.
